Abstract
⺠In the present study, in place of aromatic acids a saturated acid such as stearic acid was used to synthesize 1,2,4-triazole, 1,3,4-thiadiazole, 1,3,4-oxadiazole. ⺠Along with the screening for antidepressant activity by Forced swim test, midbrain level of dopamine has been estimated by HPLC method. ⺠For antimicrobial studies along with zone of inhibition, % potency has also been calculated.
