Abstract
⺠Pyrroloquinolinone, pyrroloquinoline derivatives has been synthesized by cycloaddition reaction. ⺠The compounds were found to have good antibacterial activity against selected pathogens. ⺠Some of the compounds were found to have better activity than the reference compound ciprofloxacin. ⺠The efficacy of binding of these compounds to enzyme gyrase, is examined using PCR method.
