Abstract
⺠Novel acrylic acids were designed as dual lipoxygenase/cyclooxygenase-1 (LOX/COX-1) inhibitors. ⺠Modifications implicate thienyl, furfuryl, 3,5-ditert-butyl-4-hydroxyphenyl at the 3 position. ⺠Most of them proved to be potent antioxidant and anti-inflammatory agents. ⺠The most active compounds docked successfully into the active site of the inhibited enzymes. ⺠Compounds 1II and 2II inhibit LOX and COX-1 and present anti-inflammatory and antioxidant activities.
