Abstract
⺠Anthra[2,3-b]furan-5,10-diones are implicated as anticancer drug candidates. ⺠The heteroatom in ametantrone analogues significantly influences the cytotoxicity. ⺠New compounds are potent for drug-resistant tumor cells.
