Abstract
To improve the production efficiency of hydrogen peroxide in Electro-Fenton system, multi-walled carbon nanotube (MWNT) electrode was prepared. Compared with graphite/gas diffusion cathode (GDC) electrode, the MWNT electrode showed higher hydrogen peroxide production efficiency. The Fe-modified MWNT (Fe-MWNT) electrode was prepared using the electrochemical deposition method. The as prepared Fe-MWNT electrode showed higher hydrogen peroxide production efficiency, and the average current efficiency increased by 8% after Fe modification in comparison with the unmodified MWNT. The average current efficiency of the Fe-MWNT electrode was close to that of the GDC electrode. The Fe-MWNT electrode is a novel promising cathode material for application in the Electro-Fenton system.
