Abstract

In this paper, we demonstrate a novel encapsulation method for organic photovoltaic (OPV) with solution process. Inverted structure of organic photovoltaic (OPV) is used because its stability is better than that of the conventional structure. Zinc Oxide (ZnO) is used as a buffer layer on top of the anode electrode to reduce damage to the OPV device since the OPV device should be protected from the solution which is used for encapsulation. We found that the UV resin (400 μm) encapsulation with ZnO buffer layer enhanced the stability of the device, where the power conversion efficiency (PCE) degrades by 20.5% after 672 h in air.
