Abstract
Semiconducting single-walled carbon nanotubes (s-SWCNTs) exhibit unique photoluminescence (PL) and electroluminescence (EL) properties, which suggests the promising potential of SWCNT being prior optically active candidate materials for next generation on-chip photonic and optoelectronic applications, and thus of SWCNT-based nano-emitters. To date, numerous efforts on this topic have been invested. This paper summarily reviews the significant achievements in SWCNT EL and PL nano-emitters in recent two decades.
