Abstract
In this work, energy transfer between CdSe/ZnS quantum dots in mixtures containing two different sizes was investigated by the time resolved thermal lens technique. Using a mathematical model to account for the possible internal energy transfer processes, the energy transfer efficiency could be evaluated and compared to those found by standard direct luminescence measurements. It was also possible to evaluate the luminescence quantum efficiency and the amount of energy converted into heat as a function of the individual quantum dot size.
