Abstract
CaTiO3:Pr3+ and CaTiO3:Pr3+/Ga3+ samples were synthesized by a hydrothermal method using the alcohol as the surfactant. The XRD and FTIR results demonstrated the single phase of the CaTiO3:Pr3+ and CaTiO3:Pr3+/Ga3+ samples. The TEM images indicated that the CaTiO3:Pr3+ and CaTiO3:Pr3+/Ga3+ samples have the cubic morphologies. The intensity of red emission due to the 1D2 â 3H4 transition of Pr3+ exhibited that it can be enhanced by Ga3+ codoping. An interpretation was made in terms of the luminescent properties of CaTiO3:Pr3+ and CaTiO3:Pr3+/Ga3+ samples.
