Abstract
In this work, we present the synthesis of the of 2âHydroxy ethylammonium Lactate (HELa) and of 2âHydroxy ethylammonium Citrate (HECi) protic ionic liquids and their electric characterization by broadband dielectric spectroscopy. The complex permittivity εâ and electrical conductivity Ïâ of HELa and HECi as a function of frequency and of temperature are obtained. The experimental results are discussed considering the type of anion in each ionic liquid. In the high frequency range (fâ¯>â¯1KHz), at room temperature (T ~25â¯Â°C), the HELa protic ionic liquid has been shown an electric conductivity higher than that formed by citrate anion.
