Abstract
Nine derivatives of 1,8-naphthalimide and benzanthrone fluorescent dyes were synthesized. These dyes were complexed with picric acid (PA) acceptor via CT interaction. Several spectroscopic and physical parameters (KCT, εmax, ECT, f, μ, RN, IP, and ÎG°) were calculated for each CT product in methanol solvent at room temperature. A strong linear correlation (râ¯=â¯0.96302) is observed between âG° and KCT values.161
