Abstract
Due to the tight relationship between Gâ² and the performance of emulsion explosive, that the VOD increases with the raise of Gâ², we took the Gâ² to estimate the effect of surfactant and continuous phase on the performance of emulsion explosive. In four surfactants, the performance of emulsion explosive formed by PIBSA-TEA is best. It might be caused by the stronger interaction between PIBSA-TEA and AN in comparison to other three surfactants. The increase of polarity of continuous phase reduces the performance remarkably because of the reduction in the kinetics of the refinement process.147
