Abstract
We present a fully controllable method to handle defects, i.e. defect creation followed by their elimination, which enables reversible tailoring of the structures and various properties of carbon nanotubes by using in-situ TEM. This technique allows for the reversible and repeatable tuning of a series of important electrical properties of CNTs, such as electron transport and field emission behaviors.204
