Abstract
A new family of carbon nanotubes with hollow walls has been designed and synthesized for efficient lithium ion storage and silicon incorporation. The use of them as anodes for high-performance lithium ion batteries is demonstrated to highlight a general and effective strategy in the development of new energy storage materials.186
