Abstract
⺠Conditions of incompressibility are studied for fluids and hyperelastic solids. ⺠The entropy principle and the concavity of the chemical potential are respected. ⺠Model fits with experiments where the compressibility factor is not zero but very small with respect to thermal expansion.
