Abstract
In order to establish a life assessment method for welded modified 9Cr–1Mo steel hot reheat elbow, an internal pressure creep test was conducted with a full size test component. As a result, the fracture mode of the component has been clarified and a life prediction method has been established. Furthermore, the appropriate creep damage detection procedures have been proposed.
