Abstract
In this paper, we study the unsteady motion of inhomogeneous incompressible viscous fluids. We present the results corresponding to Stokes' second problem and for the flow between two parallel plates where one is oscillating.
► Exact (analytical) solution is obtained for the unsteady motion of an inhomogeneous incompressible viscous fluid. ► A constant density fluid whose viscosity changes from point to point in its reference configuration is considered. ► The solutions provided include Stokes' second problem as well as the cases of accelerating or decelerating boundaries.
