Abstract
Based on Föppl–von Kármán membrane theory, we theoretically study an axisymmetric deformation problem of a clamped punch-loaded blister configuration, a circular membrane centrally connected with a rigid plate under the action of the centrally concentrated load. With the uses of an intermediate parameter and a controlled parameter, we present an exact analytical solution of the quantitative relation (load vs. deflection) of the membrane without any hypotheses adopted in existent work.
