Abstract
In this study, gold nanospheres mediated by albumin with an approximate diameter of 10â¯nm were synthesized via the reduction of HAuCl4 utilizing bovine serum albumin (BSA) as a biotemplate. The as-prepared nanocarriers loaded with gemcitabine were applied for enhanced anti-tumor activity combining with CT imaging in vitro. It has been shown that the bare nanospheres were biocompatible while the drug-loaded ones exhibited obvious effects with efficiencies significantly greater than that of the free gemcitabine.234
