Abstract
We optimized methods for the isolation of primary endothelial cells from mouse liver. Applying this optimized methodology, the molecular response of liver sinusoidal endothelial cells on hydrogels was evaluated. Interestingly, PEG-based hydrogels strongly affected the molecular response of endothelial cells and induced cellular stress reflected by significant alterations in endothelial cell adhesion molecule marker expression.
