Abstract
⺠We have developed a crystal plasticity model to describe the plastic deformation of BCC metals. ⺠Recent results from atomistic simulations were used to parameterize the deformation behavior. ⺠The model incorporates temperature, stress, and strain rate dependence of flow in BCC metals. ⺠We show the importance of modeling mechanism transitions in metals with high lattice friction.
