Abstract
A new class of hybrid materials based on brushite_alginate and monetite_alginate were prepared for the first time by adopting a soft and clean route. Thanks to their gelling and swelling properties, alginate porous polysaccharide microspheres behave as nanoreactors for nucleating, growing and hosting of the phosphate cements such as brushite or monetite.164
