Abstract
According to our knowledge, we report for the first time about the optical detection of a periodical mechanical deformation of a macroscopic object induced by the periodical Casimir force. We also report about the direct comparison of the periodical mechanical deformation caused by the light pressure and the Casimir force. The presented theory for the alternating Casimir force between the plane and the sphere is in a good agreement with the experimental results.
