Abstract
⺠We have newly synthesized NLO active chromophores and their corresponding crosslinked polymers. ⺠Change in molecular alignment in the polymer films before and after poling was studied using AFM. ⺠The SHG coefficients (d33) of the poled polymers ranged from 44 to 109.07 pm/V at 532 nm. ⺠Owing to excellent solubility, these can be processed into optical quality thin films for NLO device.
