Abstract
► Synthesis and the structural characterization of the polyanilines (PANI) doped with different protonated acids were performed. ► The impedance or the dielectric spectroscopy was used to verify the heterogeneous structure and the mesoscopic conduction mechanism of PANI. ► We found that the electrical and dielectric properties were correlated with the structural defects and the para-crystalline, which was also confirmed with IR and WAXD investigations. ► The computational fittings of impedance spectroscopy provided the quantitative description for the heterogeneous para-crystalline structure of PANI in terms of conduction.
