Abstract
Tissue engineering based on single phased calcium phosphate silicate (Ca-P-Si) bioceramic is a promising approach to recover defected periodontium. Release of calcium, phosphate and silicone ions from the scaffold to the damaged zone could regulate proliferation and differentiation of periodontal ligament cells on various lineages such as osteoblasts and cementoblasts leading to periodontal regeneration.229
