One-step synthesis of ZnO and Ag/ZnO heterostructures and their photocatalytic activity

Photodegradation process of MB achieved by the as-synthesized 1.25-Ag/ZnO catalyst; The UV-Vis spectrum shows a gradual decrease in intensity of the main peak for MB (∽ 640 nm), up to ∽ 98% after 120 min exposition to visible light. The t = 100 min curve overlaps with t = 120 min. The inset shows the color change from blue to colorless.173
