Abstract
Here, a novel multipurpose heat exchanger was designed and fabricated based on dry ice–ethylene glycol bath as the coolant mixture in order to characterize the operating parameters for fast chilling of the fluids with low electrical consumption. Moreover, it was shown that the cooling rate and chilling temperature strongly depend on the initial fluid temperature, loading rate, heat rate and the volume ratio of the glycol coolant to the fluid accordingly.
