Abstract
⺠Corrosive SRB strain accelerates cathodic reaction of iron by direct electron uptake. ⺠Hydrogenotrophic control strain does not influence the cathodic reaction. ⺠Deposited ferrous sulfides do not stimulate the cathodic reaction. ⺠Deposited ferrous sulfides mediate electrical contact between metal and cells.
