⺠Micro/nanoscale Cu acts as catalyst for carbon fibre growth onto Zn surface. ⺠Superhydrophobic carbon fibre enables Zn corrosion inhibition ability. ⺠Capillary condensation plays key role during the failure of superhydrophobicity.
