Abstract
⺠Friction surfaced (FS) AISI 316L coatings show no dilution and no δ-ferrite. ⺠FS coatings exhibit better corrosion resistance than fusion weld overlay coatings. ⺠Friction surfacing is a superior process for depositing stainless steel coatings.
