Abstract
⺠Ni matrix composite dispersing â¼14 μm-sized Cr particles was electrodeposited. ⺠The composite containing 34 wt.% Cr forms a NiO scale in air at 900 °C. ⺠The composite with an increase of the Cr content to 47 wt.% forms a Cr2O3 scale. ⺠Annealing can convert the Ni-34Cr composite from a NiO former to a Cr2O3. ⺠Adding CeO2 further decreases the oxidation of the annealed Ni-34Cr composite.
