Abstract
⺠The effect of amorphous structure on corrosion was studied in a Zr2Ni system. ⺠The amorphous Zr2Ni alloy has a lower corrosion rate than the single crystal. ⺠Passive films on the amorphous alloy are more compact with lower defect density. ⺠Passive films on the amorphous alloy contain more ZrO2 and less NiO content.
