Abstract
â¶ Research in borate crystals remains strong to this date due to the commercial applications of these materials as laser hosts, non-linear optical (NLO) elements and in UV optics. â¶ In the present work, an attempt has been made to grow a new mixed borate crystal with controlled and desirable composition, structure and properties. â¶ This work deals with the growth of inorganic single crystal of tris lead tris barium borate (TLTBB) by conventional slow solvent evaporation method. â¶ The crystal exhibits a high SHG efficiency among the available solution grown NLO crystals of borate family.
