Abstract
⺠A green phosphor Mg0.350Sr0.500Ba0.125Al2O4:Eu2+0.025 and a blue one Mg0.855Sr0.100Ba0.025Al2O4:Eu2+0.020 were optimized in Eu2+ doped MgAl2O4-SrAl2O4-BaAl2O4 ternary system by a sol-gel based combinatorial chemistry approach. ⺠Main phase of the two phosphors are proven to be hexagonal in P6322 symmetry and cubic in Fd3¯m symmetry, respectively. ⺠Sr2+, Mg2+, and Ba2+, co-exist in one host can improve luminance under UV excitation effectively. ⺠The quenching temperatures of the two phosphors are high enough for application in HP-LEDs.
