Abstract
⺠Bulk crystals of deuterated l-arginine trifluoroacetate (DLATF) have been grown successfully. ⺠The distances between the N-D covalent bonds in DLATF crystal is about 0.4% shorter than N-H bonds in LATF crystal, which agrees with other reports. ⺠Due to deuterating, the degree of transmission and the transparent region of the crystal have been improved observably. ⺠Furthermore, the crystal possesses relatively large specific heat and higher laser damage threshold.
