Abstract
â¶ We have synthesized two polymers containing different amphiprotic groups and investigated the ER effect of suspensions prepared from two polymers. Results show that the amphiprotic groups in polymer molecules have influence on the ER effect of the suspensions under external electric field. The higher polymer particle content in suspensions and the closer in density value between the disperse phase and disperse medium, the higher yield stress of the suspensions.
