Abstract
We show how non-degenerate three wave mixing with two of the optical modes asymmetrically pumped can exhibit interesting behaviours as well as producing bright entangled states with a frequency difference of up to an octave. In the travelling wave configuration, the system shows similar behaviours to the two-level Jaynes-Cummings model, with an intense field at the frequency of the difference between the other two mediating population exchange between these. The resulting dynamics are similar to Rabi oscillations. When the system is placed inside a pumped optical cavity, the fields enter a steady state in which entanglement and EPR-steering are both present. Such a system adds to the toolbox of methods used for quantum information tasks.
