Abstract
The c-number non-linear Maxwell-Bloch equations modelling a hybrid optomechanical oscillator exhibit higher order harmonic components in the average photon and phonon numbers of the cavity and mechanical fields, respectively. The first order harmonic components show a bistable behaviour in a knotted shape (one-way switching process) simultaneous with the usual S-shaped bistable behaviour in the fundamental components. Dispersive switching for the first harmonic components of the cavity and mechanical field modes shows a variety of switching diagrams against the detuning parameters.
