Abstract
In this letter, a new method for achieving ultra-flat supercontinuum generation is proposed. A picosecond fiber laser was used as the pump source, in a cascaded photonic crystal fiber, ultra-flat supercontinuum generation spectrum at 3Â dB level from 1070 up to 1630Â nm is obtained, to our knowledge, the 3Â dB bandwidth of 560Â nm is the most flat supercontinuum generation obtained in photonic crystal fibers, the results indicated that our method is efficient for achieving ultra-flat supercontinuum, which will promote the technical applications of supercontinuum.
