Abstract
A novel experiment system of optical millimeter-wave with high-bit-rate and broadband is proposed using single laser and single stage data modulation. The parameters of optical millimeter-wave can be effectively adjusted. The optical millimeter-wave transmission with 10 Gbps and 40 GHz over an unrepeated long dispersion-flattened-fiber like (DFF-like) single-span of 122.79 km is experimentally demonstrated by employing equalization amplification for the first time. The good characteristics after transmission can be achieved for equalization of EDFA and backward Raman amplification. The experimental results are basically consistent with the simulations.
