Abstract
The far-field asymptotic evolution of circularly and linearly polarized Gaussian laser beams transformed by internal conical refraction in a biaxial crystal is considered. The specific intensity and polarization pattern of far-field beams is analyzed. A good agreement between experimental observations and predictions of paraxial theory of conical refraction is shown.
