Abstract
Simulation study of Hetero-Junction (HJ) structure and Heterojunction with Intrinsic Thin layer (HIT) structure having microcrystalline silicon as emitter and BSF (Back Surface Field) layers was performed using AFORS-HET software. This study suggests that Zinc Oxide (ZnO) as better alternative of Indium Tin Oxide (ITO) as TCO layer for these solar cells. In addition texturing of TCO layer further improves the efficiency from 21.72% to 24.12%.134
