Abstract
This paper deals with an overview of recent developments in magnetic sensors. In particular, the use of nanocrystalline materials in sandwiched structures exhibiting giant magneto-impedance (MI) effect is addressed. Performances in terms of sensitivity, measurable field range, linearity, hysteresis are described.
