Abstract
In this paper, we investigate electron Raman scattering in PbSe spherical quantum dots (QDs) with spin-orbit interaction effects. To calculate energy levels and the wave functions of the electrons and holes in the spherical quantum dots, the four-band kâ·pâ model is used. By using the corresponding wave functions, the selection rules and strength of the dipole transitions between conduction and valence bands are obtained. Also, we obtain the differential cross-section (DCS) of electron Raman scattering (ERS) that is called the scattering spectra as a function of scattering wavelength in the QDs.
