Abstract
This paper deals with numerical modelling of the piercing process of a thick-walled tube in two rolls skew rolling mill, equipped with Diescher's guiding discs. After a short description of the problem the numerical model of the process is described. This numerical model takes into consideration for example thermal phenomena present in metal during forming. Later, in the paper results of calculations are shown in the form of fields of: strain, strain rate, mean stress and temperature. The model was verified by comparing the values of calculated force parameters of the piercing process and those measured in laboratory conditions.
