Abstract
Ferroelectric photovoltaic effect has received considerable attentions due to the special features of ferroelectric materials, for which could well be utilized to detect certain wavelength of light. However, most of the ferroelectric photovoltaic devices were designed in sandwiched structure, and their output signals were greatly limited by the thickness of ferroelectric films. Therefore, to design high-efficiency ferroelectric photodetector, it is necessary to enhance the output signals of ferroelectric device with new electrode configurations. By designing planar-structured electrode configuration on the surface of BaTiO3 device, an enhanced photocurrent is achieved under 365â¯nm illumination, thus a high-efficiency self-powered ferroelectric photodetector can be realized. The origin of the photocurrent enhancement is associated with the more photogenerated charges and their fast transportation between the interdigital electrodes.250
