Abstract
Mesoporous nickel oxide films deposited by chemical bath deposition have been used as hole transporting layers in inverted perovskite solar cells. Compared to planar spray deposited NiO-based devices, the scaffolded NiO films exhibit an improved interface between the perovskite and NiO layer, which facilitates reduced recombination dynamics. As a result, these facile scaffolds have enabled perovskite devices with average efficiencies of ~16% and remarkably high fill-factors of up to 0.85.215
