Abstract
A versatile modification strategy of dopamine polymerization for tuning the properties triboelectric interface has been developed. The polydopamine (pDA) -based triboelectric nanogenerator (TENG) displays much better output performance. The short circuit current and open circuit voltage of the pDA-based TENG is increased significantly. Interestingly, the as-prepared pDA-based TENG also presents excellent sterilization ability due to the synergistic effect observed on the triboelectric interface. These advantages have made the pDA polymerization a valuable interfacial tuning strategy for developing TENG-based self-powered sensors and wearable electronics.229
