Abstract
The anisotropy of the mechanical behavior of a Ti–6Al–4V sheet is analysed in this study with cold rolling tests and texture measurements. Stress–strain curves are also determined in tension for the characterization of the material. During the rolling of samples cut out from the starting sheet, crystallographic texture evolutions are determined and significant differences are measured. A macroscopic shearing is observed in some samples. The anisotropy of the analysed samples strongly depends on their initial orientation in relation to the rolling axes.
